Frequently asked questions Complaints & Fixes New Category Is your porch or deck sinking into the ground; stairs and handrails failing or falling; or does everything seem to be shifting and settling away from the house? This is because code approved, correct piers or footings were not poured, the load bearing points were not correctly stacked on each other, and the correct hangers and brackets were not used in the appropriate locations. Are your doors and windows out of alignment? Do they rub, stick, and will not lock, or can you see daylight through them? This is because they were nailed from the outside, not shimmed correctly, and the builder did not take the time to check for plumb, level, and square, with the appropriate reveal requirements. Are your cabinet faces uneven? Is there a slight height difference in all your drawers, cabinet doors, and box fronts? Does everything just seem to be slightly out of alignment and not adjusted correctly? This is because the installer is not using the correct clamps and doing these micro adjustments as they install. As long as they open and shut. Are your trim corners, joints, and seams separating and not lining up correctly?
